Mission and Duties

Mission:

To serve the citizens of Fulton County and the participants in the Judicial System in a timely, efficient, and ethical manner. All services, information, and court records will be provided with courtesy and cost efficiency.

Duties:

The Clerk of the Circuit Court, commonly known as the Circuit Clerk, is the keeper of the files and records of the Circuit Court. The Circuit Clerk works at the direction of the Circuit Court, Appellate Court, and Supreme Court of Illinois and is mandated to follow and enforce the laws of the State of Illinois. The office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court is responsible for maintaining a record of all traffic, civil, and criminal cases filed and heard in Fulton County. The office also issues summons, attachments, subpoenas, and all other tasks as mandated by the courts.
