Dave Demler (R)

Regional Superintendent Dave Demler brings more than two decades of experience in education and regional leadership to the office. A Fulton County native raised in Cuba, Illinois, he joined the Regional Office of Education in 2010. Dave brings a unique depth of leadership to the region, having previously served as the Regional Superintendent of Schools for ROE 22 (Fulton/Schuyler) from 2011 to 2015. Following the consolidation of ROE22 and ROE26, he transitioned into the role of Assistant Regional Superintendent for the newly formed ROE 26, where he spent more than a decade ensuring the office remained a steady, reliable resource for local districts.

Dave is a graduate of Cuba High School. He earned his undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University and later received his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Western Illinois University.

Regional Superintendent Demler is committed to maintaining a strong financial footing for the region and improving internal efficiency to better serve local districts. His focus remains on fostering a culture of professionalism and delivering the highest level of service to the schools and communities within the four-county area.
