Clayberg Nursing Center Staff

Clayberg employs 65-70 full-time and part-time professional and nonprofessional staff to provide care and services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Staff Nurses:  RNs and LPNs are employed to work each of the three shifts 7 days a week.  There are 2 licensed nurses on day shift, 2 licensed nurses on 2^nd shift, and 1 licensed nurse on 3^rd shift.  There is a minimum of 1 registered nurse scheduled in each 24 hour day.

Rehab/Restorative Care:  There is 1 Certified Restorative Nurse and 2-3 Rehab/Restorative aides at Clayberg.  They assist residents in achieving their maximum potential in activities of daily living .

Certified Nursing Assistants:  Clayberg employs part-time and full-time C.N.A’s on each shift to provide direct care and supervision of those residing here.  Staffing levels are based on census and the required staffing levels set by the State of Illinois.  These levels are adjusted based on the census and at times the acuity of a resident.

Therapy Services:  Skilled therapy services are provided by the facility contracted vendor Select Medical Rehabilitation Services.  The licensed therapist are available seven days a week and work closely with nursing services to ensure resident needs are being met.

Activity Department:  Clayberg employees a Certified Activity Director and 2-3 activity assistants to plan and provide individualized and group activities.  This department also works closely with restorative nursing to ensure residents maintains their highest level of functioning.

Housekeeping/Laundry Department: Clayberg employs 1 Housekeeping Supervisor and 5-6 support staff who work 1^st, 2^nd shift.  They are responsible for the cleanliness of the facility and the residents and facility laundry.

Maintenance Department:  Clayberg employs 1 Maintenance staff.  The Maintenance staff provides services to maintain the facility and facility equipment, lawn and garden care, interior/exterior building repairs, facility van transports for appointment, and medical/other.  They work day shift and are available at other times as needed.

Dietary Department:  Clayberg employs 1 Dietary/Food Service Supervisor and several cooks and Dietary Aides. The kitchen is staffed daily, 4:30am to 7:00pm. Clayberg also employs part-time dining host/hostess who takes meal orders and serves residents at each meal.

Social Services Department: Clayberg employs a Director of Social Services who assist with planning and providing individualized psycho-social activity and interactions. This Director is also available to assist residents and families with the admission process, the experience and adjustment of residing in a nursing home, and with discharge planning.
