FOIA -Sheriff

The Freedom of Information Act was created to ensure that public entities such as the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office operate on an open and transparent level.  It allows the media, commercial business, or individuals to request documents and records.  To submit a request, please follow the steps listed below:

All FOIA requests must be submitted in writing.  General Fulton County Sheriff’s Office FOIA Requests Forms are available for your convenience  at the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or at the following link:

If the request is for commercial purpose please indicate on the form 

Please provide a detailed description of the records you are requesting, such as, case report number, addresses, date of incident, date of birth, etc.  This will be helpful in locating desired records.

There is no fee for the first 50 pages of black and white letter sized copies, page 51 and above are .15 cents per page.  The requestor must pay the copying fee before the office will release the requested copies.
