Mission Statement

The mission of Fulton County Rural Transit (FCRT) is to provide safe, affordable and cost-effective public transportation to the citizens of Fulton County, with an emphasis on services to the economically disadvantaged, seniors and the disabled.

FCRT complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, prohibiting discrimination on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age, or disability. For more information, please contact: Operations Director at 309-357-5226.

Program Information

FCRT administration hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm (excluding holidays).  Monday through Friday van hours are dependent on demand and availability with a 24-hour notice.  The offices are located at 500 N. Main Street, Canton, Illinois.  For more information about FCRT, to schedule a ride, or to request someone come and speak to your group or organization call (309) 357-5226.

Transportation must originate from anywhere within Fulton County. People are able to schedule transportation to appointments outside of Fulton County. A wait fee is charged to those people who are transported and will require the van to wait to provide transportation back at the end of their appointments. The use of FCRT for transportation is not limited to medical appointments. FCRT is happy to transport people to beauty salons/barber shops, schools, shopping, restaurants, or to visit family and friends.

Transportation fees vary. Transportation one way in Canton is $2.00, one way within Fulton County is $5.00, one way across the county lines is $7.00, a wait fee of $10.00 per hour is charged for appointments where the van waits longer than fifteen minutes. Reduced rates for seniors and persons with disabilities are available. Rides should be scheduled no less than 24 hours in advance.
