Parcel #18-19-29-400-010
Chairman Phillips asked if there was representative present. Michael Myers identified himself and was sworn in. Mr. Myers explained that they live on a hillside and are requesting the variance to alleviate the cost burden of bringing in fill. They want to build a garage. They would like to have the garage sit 20ft from the road. Mr. Myers went on to describe the property site and other structures nearby. Chairman Phillips opened for public comment. Janet Webber was sworn in. She stated as a neighbor she has no problem with the request of the variance. Chairman Phillips closed the public comment and opened it for questions from the board. Member Ackerman asked about the general use of the building. Mr. Myers replied that it would be used for parking, as a garage, no plumbing or living space. Member Ackerman inquired if the design included gutters and downspouts. Mr. Myers confirmed the design included those and the water flows naturally to the pond on their property.
Chairman Phillips presented the finding of facts:

b. Discussion/Action: Public Hearing To Request A Variance Of Section 10.A.1 Of The Fulton County Zoning Ordinance In Respect To Front Yard Minimums In The AC District.
Parcel #18-19-26-106-002, 18-19-26-106-001
Chairman Phillips asked if there was representative present. Clayton Hatfill identified himself and was sworn in. Mr. Hatfill explained that he wanted to build a garage and it would sit 44ft from the road rather than 50ft to avoid cutting down a very large tree and possibly interfere with water lines.
Public Comment was opened by Chairman Phillips, to which no one responded. Public comment was closed and opened it for the board members questions.
Member Ackerman asked about the general use of the garage. Mr. Hatfill stated it would be used to house cars, storage for kids toys and such. Member Ackerman confirmed it was a main water line running to the house that could be affected.
Chairman Phillips proposed the Finding of Facts:
1. The project would cost substantially more if the water line had to be moved and if the tree had to be cut down to build the garage.

She will be finished with schooling in February. She shared that she has acquired all the supplies needed to build her shop and has a plan in place for disposal of all waste that would be produced by this type of business.
