2. Roll Call
Roll call was taken, quorum present
3. Call for Additions/Deletions To and Approval of the Agenda
Member Duquenne moved to approve the agenda with a second from Member Beck. Motion carried by roll call vote (4-0).
4. Approval of Previous Minutes August 3, 2022
Member Platt moved to approve the minutes from August 3, 2022 with a second from Member Beck. Motion carried by roll call vote (4-0).

7. Appointments
a. Discussion/Action: Resolution: Mark A. Kerley–Trustee – Cuba Fire Protection District
Member Duquenne moved to approve the resolution with a second from Member Beck. Motion carried by roll call vote (4-0).
8. Old Business
a. Discussion/Action: Sick Leave Policy amendment
Member Thompson discussed the sick leave amendment and the changes have been made. Regular employees will be entitled to 3 personal days on their anniversary date. This policy is intended to be similar to the Sheriff’s department.
Member Beck discussed the amendment states this is based on 40 hours worked a week. Member Thompson stated this is based on full time salary exempt employees and sick leave will be based on a 40-hour work week.
Member Thompson stated the policy states at layoff or retirement, the employee will be compensated for unused sick leave not to exceed 294 hours at the rate of one-half (1/2) days’ pay for each of the accumulated sick leave days. At termination (other than retirement or layoff) or resignation of employment, the employee will not be compensated for unused sick leave.
Member Thompson stated full-time non-exempt employees sick leave entitlement and accrual will follow the Contract Bargaining Agreement for their assigned department.
Member Duquenne moved to approve the Sick Leave Policy amendment with a second from Member Platt. Motion carried by roll call vote (4-0).
9. New Business
a. Discussion/Action: Vacation Leave Policy amendment
Member Thompson discussed the vacation leave policy amendment and regular full-time exempt employees that have completed the probationary period will earn vacation time according to the policy.
Full-time non-exempt or hourly employees vacation leave entitlement and accrual will follow the Contract Bargaining Agreement for their assigned department.
Member Duquenne moved to approve the Vacation Leave Policy amendment with a second from Member Beck. Motion carried by roll call vote (4-0).
b. Discussion/Action: IACBM Legislative proposal – No action
Information form can be completed to have IACBM to advocate for Fulton County. If anyone has any proposals, they need to be submitted by the October 5 meeting.
c. Discussion/Action: Meeting time
Member Thompson proposed changing the P&L meeting time to 5:00pm for the remainder of the year.
Member Duquenne moved to approve the time change of the meeting from 4:30pm to 5:00pm with a second from Member Platt. Motion carried by roll call vote (4-0).

Member Thompson discussed in October the Supreme Court is going to be reviewing Affirmative action.
